Sandra Graves is the author of the Study the Bible in Simple English series. She has over 35 years of teaching experience, first in Children's ministires, and now as an ESL teacher. She loves to teach and has a passionate desire for others to know Jesus and learn about the wonderful truths in God's Word.

Sandra was born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia. After high school, she attended Western Pentecostal Bible College (now called Summit Pacific College) and graduated with a three-year diploma in Bible Theology. While in Bible college, she met Brian, a preacher’s son. They were married at Christian Life Assembly in Langley, British Columbia.

As she raised her four sons, Sandra was always active in church. She taught her children to play the piano, and they were all involved in children's and music ministries for many years. They played as a family band and performed dramas and puppet shows to creatively teach children the Word of God.

After moving to Alberta, they continued this ministry for a few more years, until Sandra's sons finished university and went into their respective careers. Sandra then felt God direct her to teach ESL. She was blessed with many wonderful students, and some began asking if she would teach them the Bible.

Not finding any suitable resources, Sandra started writing her own Bible study lessons for her students. Her lessons are designed to help English learners from various backgrounds and levels of English proficiency know their Heavenly Father more as they directly study His Word.

Sandra is a certified in TESOL from Oxford Seminars and has an advanced teacher's certificate from the Evangelical Teacher Training Association.
